carltonscorner.com is maintained and owned solely by Cathy Carlton. The registered company name is Carlton's Creative Images, which began as a brick and mortar retail photography business.

Our photography business has since moved to the internet at CarltonsPhoto.com and has since branched out to include retail/wholesale collectibles at CarltonsGifts.com, WingsAndAPrayer.com, WildWeaselDomains.com and CarltonsJewelry.com, as well as Carlton's Corner.

Just so you know you're dealing with a real person, here's some information about me.---

I am an IT consultant with over 20 years experience in mainframe programming, analysis, testing, project lead and application management. Old hat? Don't bet on it! Age is a state of mind, not a matter of chronology!

After 19 years of dedicated service to a major telecomm provider, my job was outsourced, leaving me in what I considered a very undesirable position as a "consultant". Thankfully, I had the great fortune to literally fall into managing the BEST team of software testing professionals.

After 2 years with my current consulting firm, it was announced that our functions were all being offshored. Yep, shipped overseas. We completed the "Knowledge Transfer" stage of the turnover in March 2003. By July 2003, all of us had been served our RIF (reduction in force) notices. I was called back at the 11th hour to manage yet another software testing team, which is where I am today...at least by day!

My website design/development experience actually began a couple years ago when I built an informational website for my husband's photography business. I was soooo proud of that site. Today, I would rather be shot dead than have anyone see it!!! I have since rebuilt that site 4 times !!! T here is so much information available on the internet, and technology changes so quickly, that websites just have to be updated occasionally to remain fresh.

After a year or so of ZERO sales from that first photo website, I tried some other internet programs. Whew!! The money you can LOSE out there without even REALIZING it! I lost literally THOUSANDS on MLM "opportunities" and other "gotta have" internet programs. If you believe all the hype and promises, you'll lose your shirt! I got out of ALL of those original programs.

Now I work only a couple of low-cost and no-cost programs. Through promotion of my own programs, I v-met or e-met (...or whatever you call "meeting" someone solely online!....) some WONDERFUL publishers. I followed one e-course offered by Village of Tidbits, then started an e-course through SDT Advertising. Voila'....Carlton's Corner was born.

I just LOVE writing and helping people, but I am truly not gifted at face-to-face meetings and sales. I discovered my niche in this ezine. Of course, one MUST have a website to survive out here, so that was that. From conception to "birth", the birth of Carlton's Corner took about 2 months.

After a year and a half of publication, I decided to get out of email marketing due to the increasingly hostile email environment. I'm referring to SPAM wars. I now publish solely on Quikonnex, a new and emerging email-free publishing platform. For more info on Quikonnex, please visit KickTheEmailHabit.com or go directly to the Quikonnex site.

Through our new KickTheEmailHabit QChannel, we are offering Co-op Advertising Services that are email-free, SPAM-free and syndicated. Huh? That means the ads are published on our RSS channel (blog) along with feature-rich content and syndication links are available for others to grab and place on their websites and channels. In addition, we're offeringChannel Management Services, which means that if you don't want to take the time or effort to learn Quikonnex, we can post single items for you or provide services up to and including the conversion of your web-based or email ezine archives over to Quikonnex. So check out our updated KickTheEmailHabit.com website and the brand new KickTheEmailHabit QChannel. Feel free to stop by our Syndication Page to see a list of the latest posts to Carlton's Corner QChannel, KickTheEmailHabit QChannel, Aspenbloom WellPet QChannel and Carlton's Gifts QChannel.

I still work my full-time day job, so if I don't respond to you immediately, please be patient. I do check my QMTP each morning and several times each evening.

It is my goal to bring value-added resources and information to you. I welcome your suggestions and I look forward to hearing from you!!!

Wishing you great success, prosperity and happiness in your internet endeavors!

Cathy Carlton
