Start Page Exchanges: Start Page Exchanges are an easy way to bring traffic to your website. How does it work? It's incredibly easy, all that you have to do is sign up for a start page exchange. Most of these programs offer free memberships. Once the sign-up is complete, simply change your internet browser's start page to the one that is assigned to you by your start page exchange. Then make sure you update your start page exchange information to designate at least one of the websites you want to promote. Every time you open your internet browser, you will view another member's website and earn hits to your own website! There is generally a minimum amount of time, between 10 and 30 seconds, that you must remain on a website to earn a "hit". The number of hits you must make to other websites before earning a single hit to your website is referred to as the hit ratio and ranges from 1:1 to 5:1 depending on the program. In a 5:1 program, you earn one hit to your website for every 5 sites you view. In a 1:1 program, you earn one hit to your website for every single site you view. Obviously, the lower the ratio, the better it is for you in terms of website traffic. In addition, many start page exchanges allow you to earn hits by referring other people.
